Engineered for the Elements - Vendée Globe 2024
Latest update on Conrad Colman's Vendée Globe Adventure
The Indian Ocean is definitely not being kind to Conrad who has been battling through a low-pressure system with seven metre high waves and wind up to 60 knots.
This meant having to climb the mast of MS Amlin to because the lazy bag was playing up – “Anytime my feet leave the deck, it’s not a good day”
Thankfully, having sorted the issue Conrad is now enjoying his sail with a splendid sunset over the Indian Ocean…
“I’m in a mini-dorsal with 17 knots of wind, high mainsail, gennaker and… my J3. That’s a real pleasure! One less thing to do on my job list. I’m now enjoying my living space without all those m2 of fabric. You could say we’re ending the week on a high note!”
